John Myer's house was broken into last night. Threw a brick through the back window. He had tried the nut thing, but apparantly they were not foolish enough to fall for that. Strangely, it was similar to the "Champagne Burglary" on Hearthstone. They passed up an awful lot of good stuff in order to steal small change. Only this time there was a lot of damage to the house.

Here's what I would do: roll down your car window just enough that a person could fit his or her hand, held straight out, through. Then, place a large pile of nuts on the front seat of the car. When the criminal reaches his hand through, he will grab hold of the nuts but find, to his chagrin, that he cannot get his hand through the narrowly cracked window without releasing his hold on the nuts.

He should still be there when you get up in the morning, holding his nuts (the ones in the car, though I guess he will have another hand free, and it gets lonely at night). At this point, I would strike him with a truncheon. If you do not have a truncheon, I bet Barrington does. Or at least an extra shillelagh.
